How we write and review health information
Every medical page on this website is written in plain language, checked against current evidence, and approved by one of our doctors before it goes live.
Our 5-step process
- 01Patient question
Topics come from real questions patients ask us and search for.
- 02Draft in plain words
Written for a worried parent or patient, answer first.
- 03Evidence check
Facts checked against current guidelines and research.
- 04Doctor approval
The relevant doctor edits and signs off before publishing.
- 05Dated and reviewed
Review date shown; re-checked at least yearly.
