My child has a rash with fever. Is it an emergency?
త్వరిత సమాధానం
A rash appearing alongside a fever in a child can range from a harmless viral rash to dangerous conditions like dengue or meningococcal disease. The glass test is critical: if a rash does not fade when pressed with a clear glass tumbler, it is a medical emergency. Dr. Bramhini Nareddy examines rashes and fevers in Tirupati until 10 pm.

తరచుగా అడిగే ప్రశ్నలు
How do I do the 'glass tumbler test'?
Press the side of a clear glass tumbler firmly against the rash. If the spots fade under pressure, it is likely blanching (reassuring). If the spots stay red/purple through the glass, seek emergency care immediately.
Can teething cause a rash and fever?
Teething may cause mild drooling rash around the chin, but it does NOT cause a high fever or body-wide rash. Check with your doctor.
